Literacy Support

At Premium Learning Programs, we provide high-quality, evidence-based literacy intervention tailored to each learner’s needs. We use the Sounds-Write approach to synthetic phonics—a structured, research-backed method that teaches children how to read, spell, and write with confidence.

What makes our program unique is the integration of occupational therapy with - Sounds-Write. This holistic model supports not just literacy, but also the motor, sensory, and cognitive foundations essential for learning. By blending these approaches, we help children build the skills they need to succeed in school and everyday life.

Additional Information

  • Sounds Write is a highly structure, systematic phonics programme based on the Science of Reading. Please see the link below for more information.

  • We support a wide range of primary-aged children who are learning to read, including those with specific learning disorders, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, intellectual disability, autism, and ADHD. Our program is designed to provide a structured, supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive at their own pace.

  • We begin with the Sounds-Write assessment to determine the most appropriate starting point for your child within the program. This ensures that we target the right level of instruction from the outset.

Progress is continually monitored, with each session including a review of previously learned content to support retention and mastery. This ongoing assessment allows us to adapt our teaching to best support your child’s growth and confidence in reading and writing.

  • Each learner receives their own folder, workbook, and decodable reader to support their literacy journey. Readers are always introduced and practised during the session first to help build your child’s confidence before being sent home.

Home practice is encouraged and supported through the folder, which includes space for notes and communication between therapist and parent. This helps track your child’s progress and makes it easy for you to continue supporting their learning at home in a consistent and structured way.
